Trusted imaging technology
GE designs its entire portfolio of interventional systems from the ground up with the same tried and trusted all-GE imaging chain, optimized to provide the image clarity you need while helping you keep dose as low as possible. The fluoroscopic X-ray tube is designed to help protect patients from unnecessary radiation absorption. The proprietary angiography flat-panel detector offers Detective Quantum Efficiency (DQE) among the highest in the industry. DQE combines the measures of spatial resolution, sensitivity, noise and dose. A high DQE enables better-quality images at the same dose, or the same quality images at a lower dose.

Patented system flexibility
The flexible three-axis gantry offers excellent patient access from the left or right side. Additionally, you can position your monitors on both sides of the table for comfortable viewing of the images while you perform procedures. The SmartBox control lets you easily maneuver the system from the tableside. With the in-room browser, you can review a thumbnail display of acquired sequences directly on the in-room monitor for interactive tableside selection and review. And, with the press of a button, you can automatically transfer the angulation information and position the gantry to match the position from the review image.

Dedicated imaging for cardiac procedures
The Optima IGS 320 includes a 20.5 cm (8 in) square detector dedicated to cardiac imaging that offers 38 percent greater coverage than 17 cm (6.7 in) square detectors. It provides excellent coverage for performing coronary interventions from simple left coronary stenting to complex bifurcation cases or long CTO procedures and electrophysiology studies.

Large choice of imaging capabilities
The Optima IGS 320 offers a wide range of acquisition possibilities to create the images you need to help you make sound clinical decisions. The record acquisition mode gives you high-quality images that best show specific details to help you make accurate diagnoses. Fluoroscopic imaging for guidance uses lower radiation dosage and lets you view subtracted images to see vessels or un-subtracted images to visualize devices or bones. Digital Subtracted Angiography (DSA) helps you see the anatomy at different frame rates even forthinvessels. Plus, dose IQ customization provides different image-quality and dose strategies for the various clinical protocols in fluoroscopy and record acquisitions. You simply select the protocol that best suits the procedure.

Dedicated clinical applications 
For diagnostic purposes, you can choose quantitative analysis tools for distance measurement, Left Ventricle Analysis (LVA), Stenosis Analysis (SA) or more advanced clinical applications to help you in more delicate cases. For percutaneous coronary interventions, StentViz is a stent enhancement technology that provides excellent visualization of stent borders and details even in challenging areas of the coronaries. The InnovaSpin* acquisition helps you see the entire heart chamber and coronary anatomy with one cine run and one contrast injection.

For example as you expand the scope of procedures you perform, you can add Innova 3D for quick 3D rotational angiography acquisitions and reconstruction of the cardiac anatomy on the AW workstation. You can include peripheral procedures with Innova Chase, a dynamic unsubtracted acquisition used to follow a contrast bolus in the anatomy at a fixed frame rate of 5 frames per second, with remote panning of the table.
